One of the major expenses for any business is ongoing power costs.
For the most part, it’s out of your control.
You can reduce headcount to save on wages. You can negotiate with vendors for better rates.
And you can introduce operational efficiencies to reduce labour. But apart from watching your usage,
you’re limited with electricity costs.
Unless you’re using solar energy, of course.
Solar just makes good business cents
The majority of businesses operate during
daylight hours, when the sun is at its peak.
This enables commercial solar system owners to use the solar power they generate during the day, reducing the amount of power they buy off the grid. The result? Less electricity consumed, and less financial outlay.
And of course, we have battery options to let businesses trading 24/7 or of an evening to store their energy and use it of an evening, when it’s needed the most.
It’s a double return on investment
Commercial solar installations offer an
exceptional return on investment. Not only are you investing in ongoing sustainability of your business, but in that of the environment, too.
Government rebates for businesses using solar
If you’re installing a commercial solar system up to 100kW, then you could be eligible for Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) [MT1] under the Federal Government’s renewable energy policy. This is an incentive to encourage businesses to invest in renewable energy. You can assign the rights to these STCs to your solar installer in exchange for a rebate or discount of the price of your system. Depending on the number of STCs you are eligible for, this can
significantly reduce the cost of your system – in some cases, by more than 30%.
We understand your energy consumption before we do anything else
Because every business is different, we’ll work with you to completely understand your usage and
requirements first. We’ll gain a through understanding of your daily operations and, importantly,
your future plans.
We’ll also look at your power bills and electivity consumption patterns. With your permission, we’ll also install a data logger to track your energy consumption for a week to ten days. The logger will monitor your usage and help us design the most efficient system for your needs.
It also means that you understand the specific numbers around your energy consumption, enabling you to make an informed decision regarding your solar purchase and maximise your return on investment.
